HOMEMADE MACARONI & CHEESE

I have never made homemade macaroni before in fear the recipe would be too difficult and not turn out well…..well let me tell you…..this recipe was not only easy it tastes AMAZING!! I will definitely be making this again soon!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups macaroni shells

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons flour

2 cups milk

1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper

2 cups of cheese (I used a cup of cheddar and a cup of white cheese) grated

Recipe:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Bring pot of water to a boil and add the macaroni….boil as directed and add salt to water

While pasta boil melt butter into a pot….after melted add flour….wait until the flour and butter create a thick consistency and the milk…..constantly stir and use a whisk to get out the lumps….create a thick consistency and stir in the cheese

After noodles are finished add them to the cheese mixture and stir

Place into a greased pan. I used a 9 by 12 inch pan and added breadcrumbs to the top as well…put into oven and bake 20-25 minutes
