About me
Hello! I am a Registered Nurse, childbirth educator and mom. I have worked obstetrics since 2008, with experience in triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, routine newborn care, level II nursery and GYN surgeries. I have a passion to support without judgement and empower women from pregnancy and labor to postpartum and feeding. As a mom of 6 and a step mom, former foster mom and adoptive mom I’d also be available to offer support to blended families.
My qualifications for a health coach include on the job experience with antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, routine newborn, level II nursery and GYN surgicals. I also work as a charge nurse. I have experience in med/surg nursing and pediatrics also. In the past I taught our new employee orientation class, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Public Health Childbirth Education and continuing education/on the job simulations. After being recommended by several of our physicians and midwives, I was recently asked to build a new childbirth class from the ground up. It’s a lot of fun to get back in to teaching these classes again. As much as I love to teach, I also enjoy taking classes. I have attended the following educational courses: ALSO, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Educator, STABLE, NRP, PEARS, NILMDTS Healthcare Provider Photography, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Infant Massage, Newborn IV Starts and Golden Start Breastfeeding. I have worked closely with hypnobirthing. I come with years of experience and clinical knowledge.
