3 Keys To Better Relationships
1. Does Dating and Having Fun Matter With Your Spouse or Partner?
It is pretty simple: Dopamine = Joy
Dopamine is responsible for that happy feeling of joy & well being.
When Dopamine is too low people feel dissatisfied in the relationship.
One way to boost Dopamine is by doing fun & novel stuff together.
Play golf, dancing, a new class, the more exciting the bigger the boost.
Doing something radical, super fun, exhilarating for yourself and with your partner will create more Dopamine and therefore more JOY in your life!
2. Something we often ponder as we balance work, marriage/relationships, kids….
Does having good female relationships matter?
IT ABSOLUTELY DOES as it boosts Oxytocin.
Oxytocin increases when you have an orgasm, pet your dog, when you have children and when you’re in a relationship. Important to note, women need to get their oxytocin from multiple sources. This is why community, girlfriends & family are so important to a woman’s wellbeing.
When the Oxytocin is too dependent on the relationship it creates anxiety for her such as when women depend on their significant other or kids too much.
For women’s well being she needs a bigger community.
3. We need to understand WHY testosterone matters if you want your man engaged in your relationship!
Again, it is pretty simple. Men want our attention and appreciation!
When a man commits to a woman his testosterone drops, which makes him want to stay at home and in the relationship. But his testosterone has a sweet spot. Too high and he’s out of the relationship and too low he could be depressed or in a funk. It could also look like a lack of sexual desire from him. In order to stay in the sweet spot he needs to feel praised, appreciated. He needs compliments, hearing Thanks you’s!
A common complaint I get from a lot of moms is: why is he always picking fights with me?
He’s saying that he doesn’t feel important in your life anymore.
